Sequoyah School is a special place for students, staff, parents and visitors.  We are constantly striving for academic excellence.  The comment, "It looks and feels like an elementary school should," is often expressed by our visitors. Sequoyah was SACS accredited in 2003 and again in 2009. Our school was one of the first ten to achieve this milestone.  Sequoyah was recognized as one of the top five schools in academic achievement for the state of Tennessee.  In 2004, Sequoyah was one of three elementary schools to receive "Tennessee Just for the Kids Award" for high academic achievement.  The Sequoyah PTA and Sequoyah Foundation have offered support in the areas of academics, technology, the arts, security, science lab and support staff.  This is truly a school of excellence.
